E-BIKE SHIPPING: FREE
We will ship your bike in a box to any of the 10 provinces in Canada. Your bike will come 90-95%+ assembled (depending on the model). We recommend having a local bike shop complete the assembly and give it a new bike tuneup before riding.
PLEASE NOTE: We can't ship to PO Boxes!
All Shipping companies provide an "Estimated Arrival Date". Keep in mind, we ship from our warehouse within 2 business days on all in-stock items. Below is an approximate delivery time (in business days) to each Zone based on when the order was physically picked up from our warehouse:

SHIPPING DELAYS:
AE contracts with third-party shipping companies of good repute to deliver the products, however, sometimes (depending on the delivery location) a local carrier may be contracted to complete the ‘last mile’ delivery.
Due to regulatory requirements, batteries may (in rare situations) be required to be shipped separately from the bike, and the two shipments (bike & battery) may arrive at different times. Once the shipment notification has been issued please wait for up to 48 hours to get the tracking to update with scan information. The shipping notification may have different product details from the ones that were ordered due to automation software being used. Please wait for all packages to arrive before contacting our support line.
As part of our commitment to deliver the best experience for our customers, we share the tracking information as soon as it is available. All delivery timelines/ dates are estimates and are subject to change without notice. AE will not be responsible/ liable for any delayed shipments under any category of the delivery services chosen by the customer. In case a shipped product is returned by the carrier either due to refusal to accept or absence at the delivery address by the consignee, AE will charge the consignee the two-way shipping plus a $150 service fee and any other charge as applied by the carrier and existing policy of Returns & Refunds from AE In case the product/ packaging is severely damaged at the time of delivery the customer can refuse delivery after collecting sufficient proof in the form of pictures and or videos and sending them to hello@alteregobikes.com to initiate a replacement.
LATE SHIPMENTS
While AE will try its best to coordinate with the carrier company to get the product delivered, it is the responsibility of the consignee to keep track of the shipment and to coordinate with the carrier for tracking updates and to get the shipment delivered or rescheduled for delivery. In case of a failed delivery, the consignee is responsible for coordinating and collecting the consignment from the carrier’s assigned location/ pick-up point at the consignee’s cost. If the tracking shows ‘Out for Delivery’ but the package remains undelivered, the consignee should coordinate with the carrier and not AE It must be noted that some carriers do not allow pre-scheduled delivery or custom delivery timelines/ options, AE cannot be held responsible for the absence of such services.
Once the shipment has been handed over to the carrier, AE has no control over the logistics or the delivery schedule of the shipment and therefore, would not be held liable for any delays/ miscommunication/ changes on part of the consignee.
All shipping charges are non-refundable. A consignment cannot be considered as ‘LOST’ unless declared by the contracted carrier and therefore AE cannot be held liable for any shipment that does not show tracking updates after it has departed the AE dispatch facility.
If you refuse delivery of an order you requested us to ship to you, AE reserves the right to charge a flat fee of $150. This fee is intended to partially cover our shipping costs associated with the order. Please note that we are unable to modify, intercept, or cancel orders that have already been shipped. If you refuse delivery and the order returns to our facility, we will treat it as a return less an additional $150.
SHIPPING DAMAGE & MISSING ITEMS
In rare instances, the item received may be damaged during transportation.
NOTICE: We do not offer replacements of free accessories if they are damaged in the shipping process. This includes, but not limited to fenders, luggage racks, etc. Free accessories are not included in the replacement or compensation if they cause scratches during transportation. We will not accept Shipping Damage Claims later than 3 days from receipt of products.
Damage to a Covered Component during shipping is not covered by our Limited Warranty, however, AE will replace such damaged Covered Components if you:
Shipping damage claims are very time sensitive and it is your responsibility to immediately inspect the ebike for damage upon receipt. If shipping damage occurs, please contact us by emailing hello@alteregobikes.com and provide us with photo or video proof.
If you choose to set up your own independent shipping method, such as use of a freight forwarder or other similar service, AE will not replace any Covered Components damaged during such shipping method.
